BHP 403 Health Education (3 Credits)

This course is for students pursuing careers in the health sciences. A study of the historical, educational, social, and political foundations of health education. Describe the roles and responsibilities of health science professionals, broadly.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of the components of optimal health and wellness.
  • Acquire information on which to base choices regarding one's health and quality of life.
  • Develop a personal health profile and make at least one personal behavior change to improve health.
  • Apply concepts learned in course to the health sciences in the local community.
  • Critically review professional journal article in health sciences for illustration of course concepts.
