B.Ed 400 Introduction to Non-formal Education (3 Credits)

This course generally aims to introduce students to the processes and constructs non-formal education. Students will discuss a number of alternative approaches to program and curriculum evaluation non-formal education sectors, with a focus on the integration of theory and practice

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understand the elements of non-formal education.
  • Analyze a variety of non-formal educational programs.
  • Learn the national character of non-formal education.
  • Understand the aspects of professional and vocational education, adult literacy training, and lifelong learning.
  • Get to know how and where to avail of non-formal education, and what their curricula are.
  • Understand a number of alternative approaches to program and curriculum evaluation non-formal education sectors, with a focus on the integration of theory and practice.
